Research Coffees:
The EKU-OT Research Coffees occur approximately three times per semester and offer a venue for faculty members in the Department of Occupational Therapy to discuss research interests and issues in an informal setting. Topics range widely and have included: The 2005 SSO: USA Ruth Zemke Lecture in Occupational Science by Dr. Florence Clark; meet the Graduate Dean, Dr. Jerry Pogatshnik; Efforts to Enhance Faculty Scholarship in EKU's College of Arts and Sciences, Dr. Ton Otieno; Endnotes; Grants at EKU-OT.
Grants:
The EKU-OT Research Center supports grant-writing and grants administration in the Department of Occupational Therapy by providing a meeting and work space, assistance from the Endowed Chair, and funding search support. Research meetings for grant-supported projects occur in the Research Center, including providing Rural Interdisciplinary services for Youth with Mental Health Needs (PRISYM), the Custodial Grandmothering Prject, Occupational Therapy for At-risk Youth, and the International Study of Food Centered Occupations in Elderly Women. The office of the PRISYM grant project administrator was also located in the Research Center from 2004-2006.
